Land Between the Lakes Advisory Board
The Land Between the Lakes Protection Act of 1998 transferred responsibility for Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area from the Tennessee Valley Authority to the Secretary of Agriculture to be managed as a unit of the National Forest System. The Protection Act called for the establishment of the Land Between the Lakes Advisory Board to advise on environmental education issues and also helps promote public participation in their land and resource management planning processes.

Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. The public may join in person or virtually via telephone and/or video conference through Microsoft Teams. Virtual meeting participation details will be posted on this webpage closer to the next upcoming meeting date.
Meeting agendas include time for people to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should make a request in writing at least three days before the meeting to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the committee may file written statements with the committee staff before or after the meeting.
