Independence Day Celebration at the Homeplace 1850s Farm

July 4 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Independence Day at The Homeplace

10-11am | Hanging the Red, White and Blue

Bunting, streamers and flags, oh my! Independence Day celebration would be complete without the proper decorations.

Visit the double pen house and help the farm women decorate the house and yard for our Independence Day festivities later in the day.

1-4pm | Happy Independence Day!

Enjoy an old-fashioned afternoon of fun as we celebrate Independence Day–one of the biggest holidays in the 1850s.

The festivities kick off by reading the Declaration of Independence and conclude with patriotic toasts and tributes.

Enjoy a cool slice of watermelon, take part in old-time games and competitions and relax with live music while recreating a community celebration of America’s birthday.

*Ideal for home educators
