Paddle across the waters of Land Between the Lakes- where 300 miles of scenic, undeveloped shoreline await you! Whether you choose to paddle the expansive waters of Kentucky and Barkley Lakes or one of the many inland lakes throughout the peninsula, adventures for all skillsets abound. Make it a day trip, or pack your camping gear and disperse camp along the natural shoreline.

Didn’t bring a canoe or kayak? We have you covered! Energy Lake Campground and Woodlands Nature Station each offer seasonal canoe and kayak rentals. More details are below.

Canoe and Kayak Rentals

Energy Lake Campground 

  • Daily from 9am-3pm, mid-May through mid-October
  • $15 per hour, per boat
  • Life jackets provided
  • Lake conditions and weather permitting
  • All rentals must be returned by 4pm
  • Life jackets included
  • Beach use is permitted for registered campers only

Woodlands Nature Station  
Due to lake conditions Woodlands Nature Station will not be renting kayaks and canoes for the 2022 season.
